This original artwork is painted in watercolour on a panel prepared with specialist watercolour ground.
The panel is 20cm high by 20cm wide hardboard cradled in pine, coated with acid free gesso and watercolour ground medium. Watercolour paint has been applied in layers to build colour and depth.
The final painting is spray varnished with satin archival varnish, with the edges sanded and finished in white. The finished panel can be hung or displayed unframed (the cradled edge is 18mm depth), though customers may also like to have it framed themselves (I'd recommend a float frame, without glass, to show off the beautiful texture of the surface).
