This original artwork is painted in watercolour on a panel prepared with specialist watercolour ground.
The panel is 40cm high by 30cm wide hardboard cradled in pine, coated with acid free gesso and watercolour ground medium. Watercolour paint has been applied in layers to build colour and depth.
The final painting is spray varnished with satin archival varnish, then a layer of Dorlands Wax. The Aquabord is 3mm depth, ready for mounting or framing by the customer.
If the customers plans to have the piece framed I'd recommend a float frame, without glass, to show off the beautiful texture of the surface.
