The recipient of the voucher can use it to book a painting commission, following the usual commission process (without the need for the deposit or payment).
Commissions are created using a photograph supplied (digitally) by the customer. Single portraits are 8x8 inch (20x20cm) size. Portraits are painted in watercolour on a panel prepared with specialist watercolour ground. The panel is cradled pine and birch, coated with acid free gesso and watercolour ground medium. Watercolour paint is applied in layers to build colour and depth. The final painting is spray varnished with satin archival varnish. The finished panel can be hung or displayed unframed (with 19mm depth edge), or an optional float frame can be purchased at an additional cost.
